We began our humble journey of serving up authentic Sri Lankan crab recipes in March 2020, establishing ourselves on the now bustling street of Jalan Kemuja, alongside Coley’s Cocktail Bar, Lisette’s Café, Apollo Dining, Southern Rock and Fierce Curry House.
To date, we’ve amassed a loyal following of enthusiastic patrons comprised of true foodies, seafood and crab dish aficionados. This is by virtue of our unique offering - An authentic Sri Lankan Crab Recipe restaurant suited to the Malaysian palate.
Our speciality dishes feature live Indonesian mud (mangrove) crabs that are sourced daily, and stored in our filtered aquariums for the freshest of giant, fleshy crabs upon each order. This truly elevates the flavours in each of our signature dishes, cooked to perfection by our Masterchef Wijaya who hails from Colombo, Sri Lanka. His unique blend of exotic Sri Lankan spices and premium ingredients is what makes our crab dishes absolutely stellar, keeping our patrons coming back for more.
The Lankan Crabs offers three signature preparations; the Negombo Crab Curry, our best-seller which is strictly Singhalese, authentically Sri Lankan and mildly spiced to suit the local tongue. Spice lovers can opt for the Jaffna Crab Curry, a unique Sri Lankan recipe that is of Tamil heritage and kicks up the heat by a notch. Last but not least is the Garlic Butter Crab, a preparation specially crafted with aromatic garlic and french specialty butter President, for a creamy, home-made taste that you'll want to take home.
Our authentic Sri Lankan menu doesn’t end there. We also serve an array of dishes comprising a variety of meat, seafood and vegetarian preparations that pack a flavourful punch, along with delightful Sri Lankan sides and snacks. Completing the line-up is our resident appam Maitresse Amma Lalli who hails from Seremban, and serves up the freshest of appams made with her homemade recipe perfected over a span of 40 years. Stationed at the front house, you can watch Amma Lalli as she whips up perfectly fluffy appams behind a glass window when you dine in.
